San Diego re-signed Iglesias on Tuesday to a minor-league contract.
Iglesias went 3-for-5 with two doubles in his return to the Triple-A El Paso lineup. The infielder triggered an out clause in his minor-league pact with the Padres on Friday, but after testing the waters he's back with the San Diego organization for the foreseeable future. Iglesias will have to be added to the 40-man roster if the Padres decide he's worthy of a call-up to the 26-man active group.
