Severino was diagnosed with right shoulder tightness after being removed from Wednesday's start against the Reds, and he'll undergo an MRI on Thursday.

The 28-year-old exited prior to the third inning of Wednesday's contest after tossing a couple warmup pitches. Severino allowed four runs over two innings -- including three straight home runs -- prior to leaving the game, but the overriding concern at this point is the status of the oft-injured right-hander's shoulder.
