Williams (ankle) was placed into the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols Sunday and is out indefinitely, Evan Barnes of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
Memphis had already ruled Williams out for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers with a sprained left ankle, but his placement into the protocols will likely increase the length of his absence. The rookie has been sidelined since Dec. 6 with the ankle injury.
