Williams produced seven points (3-8 FG, 1-5 3Pt), four rebounds and one assist across 30 minutes during Saturday's 142-112 loss to the Warriors. Williams drew the start in place of Dillon Brooks (suspension) and had little impact on the final result. Although the rookie has fared well off the bench for Memphis, he never got in the groove despite 30 minutes on the floor. The rookie shows definite promise, but it's very difficult to fill Brooks' shoes. Williams will shift back to the bench with Brooks' return, resulting in a significant defensive upgrade for the Grizzlies.

Williams will start Saturday's Game 3 at Golden State, C.J. Holmes of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. With Dillon Brooks (suspension) out, Williams will, unsurprisingly, get the nod at small forward. He played 28 minutes in Game 2 after Brooks was ejected early in the first quarter, with the rookie posting 14 points, five rebounds and one assist. Over his past 10 starts, he's averaged 9.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 25.5 minutes.

Williams accumulated 14 points (5-9 FG, 4-8 3Pt), five rebounds and one assist across 28 minutes during Tuesday's 106-101 victory over the Warriors. Williams took on an increased role upon Dillon Brooks' first-quarter ejection, and the result was an efficient shooting night beyond the arc. Williams drained four of his eight attempts from downtown and shot 55,5 percent overall in the Game 2 victory.

Williams (knee) is available for Tuesday's Game 2 against the Warriors. The rookie continues to battle soreness in his right knee, which kept him out of Game 6 against Minnesota as well as Sunday's Game 1 against Golden State. Williams' role began to dwindle prior to the injury, so it's not clear how much he'll play in Game 2.

Williams (knee) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's Game 2 against the Warriors. The rookie continues to battle soreness in his right knee, which kept him out of Game 6 against Minnesota as well as Sunday's Game 1 against Golden State. Williams' role began to dwindle prior to the injury, so if he's cleared to play in Game 2, he likely won't return to a high-minute role.
