Jewell got poked in the eye during Friday's opening preseason game in Arizona, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Jewell had accumulated three tackles (two solo) before sustaining the eye injury. The severity of the issue is not known at this time, but it would not be surprising for the Broncos to exercise caution with their starting inside linebacker.
