Delpit (groin) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.
Delpit will now be forced to miss at least the final four weeks of the season but will be eligible to return for the playoffs if he's healthy enough to play and the Browns do get in. His absence in the weeks ahead will be a blow to the Cleveland secondary and result in D'Anthony Bell moving into a starting role at strong safety.
