Mullens completed 20 of 30 passes for 147 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 16-14 loss to the Raiders.

A Browns skill-position group decimated by a COVID-19 outbreak didn't do Mullens many favors and committed a number of costly drops, but the third-string quarterback still almost managed to lead Cleveland to victory with both Baker Mayfield (illness) and Case Keenum(illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list. After being shut out in the first half, the Browns got a Nick Chubb rushing touchdown in the third quarter before Mullens found tight end Harrison Bryant for the go-ahead six-yard score on fourth down with 3:45 remaining. The Raiders answered with a game-winning 48-yard field goal on the game's final play, prevailing despite Mullens' valiant effort. At least one of Mayfield or Keenum will almost certainly be back in time to start against the Packers in Week 16, relegating Mullens back to the bench.
