The Browns plan to place Beckham on waivers Monday, with the wideout first being eligible to be claimed Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Per Schefter, Beckham and the Browns have reworked his contract, and under the deal's new terms -- which are pending the NFLPA's approval -- the wideout would be scheduled to become a free agent after this season. That said, the report suggests that Beckham could go unclaimed Tuesday, in which case he would become a free agent in short order. Either way, the Browns have ruled out Beckham for Sunday's game against the Bengals, but he could be back in action for another team as soon as next weekend.
