Brate secured his only target for eight yards in the Buccaneers' 48-25 win over the Falcons on Sunday.
The veteran tight end logged 21 snaps from scrimmage, which outpaced position mate O.J. Howard by 10 plays overall. Like Howard, Brate's one catch Sunday was his first of the season, and he's likely to continue filling a similarly modest role as long as Rob Gronkowski is healthy.
