Cooper (illness) didn't take part in Tuesday's practice and remains on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.

Both owner/GM Jerry Jones and coach Mike McCarthy commented on Cooper earlier Tuesday, and while Jones' tone was optimistic about the wide receiver practicing, McCarthy's remarks were more stated. McCarthy ended up being closer to the truth after telling Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News "to be determined" about Cooper's potential activity level. Cooper now has just one more chance to join his teammates on the field Wednesday before the Cowboys jet off to New Orleans for Thursday's game against the Saints. If Dallas doesn't activate him from the reserve/COVID-19 list, the team may have just CeeDee Lamb (concussion) and Michael Gallup at the top of the WR depth chart with Cedrick Wilson (ankle) unable to practice so far this week.
