Hurts (illness) was diagnosed Thursday with a stomach infection and will be away from the Eagles for at least the next two days, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
A late scratch from Thursday's preseason game against the Patriots, Hurts apparently didn't feel well when he got the stadium but still went through pregame warmups. After he was ruled out, he was deemed to not be dealing with COVID-19. Then, coach Nick Sirianni told Mike Garafolo of NFL Network following the contest that Hurts is "fine now. He's doing OK now." But Hurts' visit to the hospital unveiled that he shouldn't be around his teammates in the short term.
