Coach Doug Marrone said the arm injury will cause the 22-year-old to miss "considerable time," so a move to IR isn't surprising. Andrew Wingard is poised to take over starting duties at strong safety since previous starter Josh Jones (chest) is also on IR. Thomas will be eligible to return Dec. 20 at Baltimore, though it's unclear how long he's expected to be sidelined.
