The Jets waived Cager (knee) on Saturday, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports.
It's likely Cager is still carrying an injury tag since he had an MRI last week, so if he clears waivers he could land on the Jets' injured reserve. Regardless, the Jets' willingness to let Cager go signals that their receiver corps may not be as injured as it appears.
