Lindsay was waived by the Texans on Tuesday.
As expected, the running back will now be exposed to waivers, allowing any of the NFL's other 31 teams to put in a claim for him over the next 24 hours. If Lindsay goes unclaimed, he shouldn't have much trouble finding a spot on a practice squad, if he isn't immediately signed to a 53-man roster on a more team-friendly deal. Though he mustered only 2.6 yards per carry on 50 totes over his 10 games with Houston, Lindsay averaged 4.3 YPC or better in each of his previous three seasons in the NFL with Denver. He also showed some ability as a receiver, recording 77 catches over that three-year stretch.
