The Rams plan to keep leaning heavily on Michel down the stretch run of the season, Kevin Modesti of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

That may have been the plan all along after Michel averaged a robust 4.8 yards per carry on 89 rushing attempts over the past four weeks, though Darrell Henderson's (knee) move to injured reserve this week makes the Rams' intentions even more clear. The Rams are now left with Jake Funk and special teamer Buddy Howell as their healthy backup options, and Cam Akers (Achilles) will also be in the mix at some point whenever he's ready to play. While Akers could be a bigger part of the offense in the playoffs, he shouldn't take too much work from Michel in his first game back from a severe injury, whether that happens Week 17, Week 18 or at some point during the postseason.
