Welcome to awards week! That is, Major League Baseball in conjunction with the Baseball Writers Association of America (the voting body) will reveal the winners of the Rookie of the Year, Manager of the Year, Cy Young and MVP awards this week. It all starts with the Rookie of the Year winners Monday.

TV: MLB Network
Streaming: MLB.com/video
Time: 6 p.m. ET

The show is an hour long. One can expect the NL side to go first in Rookie of the Year, because the odds-on favorite is Corey Seager. He's even a finalist for MVP, so there shouldn't be any drama there. The other finalists are Dodgers teammate Kenta Maeda and Nationals youngster Trea Turner.

The guess is we'll find out Seager won around 6:20, with interviews following. Then the AL winner gets revealed around 6:40-6:45, maybe? That leaves room for discussion and interviews afterward while also keeping viewers around for the announcement. Hey, gotta pay the bills.

The AL finalists are Tigers starting pitcher Michael Fulmer, Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez and Indians outfielder Tyler Naquin.

These awards are regular-season awards. In fact, ballots are due before the playoffs even start, so voters couldn't have considered anything that happened in the playoffs. Not that it would have mattered much here.
