In just a few days, an NFL team will draft a player who draws the ire of at least one member of its fan base. OK, so replace "at least" with "nearly every" in that statement and it becomes a whole lot more accurate.

Welcome to the NFL Draft: a complete crapshoot rooted in pure speculation, but an event that still manages to evoke the strongest and most opinionated of all rapid reactions. There's a very real chance that one team will select a future All-Pro, and there's an even better chance that the selection will be met with a chorus of boos and F-bombs (and vice versa, of course).

After all, Donovan McNabb evoked anger. Johnny Manziel created euphoria.

In preparation for the festivities, let's look back at some of the most memorable reactions. From Manziel and McNabb to Warren Sapp and even Marcus Mariota, here are 10 of the best fan reactions to the NFL Draft (note: Jets fans, this won't be a particularly fun experience):

1. Cleveland goes bananas for Johnny Manziel

Cleveland fans initially celebrated the Johnny Manziel pick. (USATSI)

Before we get to the Jets, let's get Manziel out of the way. Like the rest of his NFL career, his draft day experience certainly didn't lack storylines.

First, there's the photoshopped picture that began floating around, which seemed to depict Manziel drinking a beer as he waited. It wasn't beer -- it was water. Then, there's the "I want to wreck this league together" text he sent to a Browns coach. There's also the homeless man who may have convinced the Browns to snag Manziel.

Anyway, eventually the Browns drafted Manziel in the first round. And the reaction should never be forgotten.

Cleveland, 2014:

After two underwhelming and chaotic seasons, the Browns cut ties with Manziel this offseason. In those two seasons, he compiled a passer rating of 74.4.

Manziel remains a free agent. He's been fired by two different agents in one offseason. Now, he's reportedly been indicted by a grand jury on a misdemeanor assault charge.

2. Kendall Wright and Justin Hunter don't care about Marcus Mariota

This one makes no sense. Last year, the Titans drafted Mariota with the second pick in the draft. Considering just how highly most experts thought of Mariota, you'd think that Kendall Wright and Justin Hunter would've been pleased/excited/stoked/happy to hear Mariota's name.

Instead, they went full Jay Cutler: Don't. Care.

Mariota ended up scoring 21 touchdowns (19 passing, two rushing) and piecing together a 91.5 passer rating in 12 games. The Titans now have their quarterback of the future on their roster.

Wright and Hunter later tried to explain their reaction.

3. "We want Sapp! We want Sapp!"

The chants echoed throughout the building. "We want Sapp! We want Sapp!"

The year was 1995. The Jets, with the ninth-overall pick, were on the clock.

They took a tight end named Kyle Brady instead.

Brady ended up lasting four seasons with the Jets, catching 93 passes for 949 yards and 10 touchdowns. After New York, he headed to Jacksonville and then New England to cap his 13-year career (343 catches, 3,519 yards, and 25 touchdowns).

Warren Sapp is in the Hall of Fame.

4. Texans fans boo J.J. Watt

When J.J. Watt accepted his third Defensive Player of the Year award before the Super Bowl, he talked about proving the doubters wrong, which is a pretty generic thing for an athlete to say. But then again, check this out:

The Texans selected Watt with the 11th pick in the 2011 draft. The Jaguars took Blaine Gabbert at No. 10, and the Vikings took Christian Ponder with the 12th pick.

Reminder: The draft is a crapshoot and nobody knows just how good or bad these players will turn out years down the line. What is certain: Those TV interviews, in which you diss a player before they play a down in the NFL, will come back to haunt you.

5. Eagles fans are outraged by Donovan McNabb

Here's another reminder of that: Eagles fans reacting to the drafting of Donovan McNabb with some angry hollering.

That McNabb guy ended up being OK at playing quarterback. From 1999 to 2009 in Philadelphia, McNabb threw for 32,873 yards and 216 touchdowns. He also won 92 games.

He did not, however, learn the rules to overtime.

6. "Oh no!"

Back to the Jets: same video as before, but a different moment.

In 1987, the Jets owned the 21st pick. They used that pick to draft a fullback, Roger Vick.

But the name after the word "fullback" is entirely unnecessary for this story. Because right after that word was spoken into the microphone -- even before a name was actually announced -- a Jets fans reacted the only way he could.

By screaming "Oh no!"

7. Russell Wilson and true happiness in one photo

Sometimes, a photo says it all. This photo -- taken when Russell Wilson learned the Seahawks were grabbing him in the third round of the 2012 draft -- is one of those photos.

Ashton Meem wasn't a fan -- she was Wilson's wife -- but this still counts as a top reaction because look at that pure joy on her face:

You can't fake that level of happiness.

8. Eli Manning vilified

It's rare for a consensus No. 1 pick to get booed. But that's what happened to Eli Manning in 2004. He was met with chants of "Eli sucks!"

Of course, that's entirely Manning's own fault for refusing to play for the Chargers. So, San Diego selected Manning and traded him to the Giants.

Manning went on to win two Super Bowls, while the Chargers have been unable to break through in the playoffs with Philip Rivers.

9. Redemption for Jets fans

After the Warren Sapp and fullback incidents, it's safe to say that Jets fans lost a bit of confidence in the organization. Slowly, though, with picks like Leonard Williams last year, trust is being rebuilt.

That look on your face when your team, for once, doesn't do something royally dumb.

10. "Marcus Mariot!"

Sports suck because they often lead to endless unhappiness and never fulfill hopes and dreams. At least this fan learned all of that at a young age.

Oh, and his name is Marcus Mariota, not Marcus Mariot.

Happy draft week!
