Braves' Sean Newcomb: Could return Friday

Newcomb (undisclosed) threw at the alternate training site Tuesday and should be ready to return by Friday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Newcomb has been on the COVID-19 injured list since April 17 after a potential exposure to someone who had tested positive for the coronavirus. However, manager Brian Snitker is optimistic that Newcomb will be able to rejoin the bullpen for the upcoming road trip that begins Friday.
