Bengals' Vontaze Burfict: Suspension reduced to three games

Burfict's suspension has been reduced to three games following his appeal, Jim Owczarski of the Cincinnati Inquirer reports.

Burfict originally received a five-game suspension following an illegal hit on the Chiefs' Anthony Sherman back on Aug. 19. Instead of having to wait until Week 7 against the Steelers to play, Burfict will now be eligible as soon as Week 4 against the Browns. In the meantime, guys like Vincent Rey, Jordan Evans and Carl Lawson are all expected to chip in as a committee approach.
