Thompson racked up eight tackles and one quarterback hit during Sunday's 34-33 victory against the Vikings.

A fifth-round pick in the NFL Supplemental Draft back in 2019, Thompson was productive as a rookie, with 57 tackles, three pass defenses and one interception in 15 games. He only managed five appearances last season due to injury, so his performance Sunday is an encouraging sign that significant tackle counts remain possible for the starting strong safety. Thompson will look to continue the momentum Week 3 in Jacksonville.
