Parker led the defense in tackles with 11 (10 solo) during the regular-season opener Thursday against the Patriots.
With Eric Berry (Achilles) done for the season, Parker will likely assume the leader role in the Chiefs secondary moving forward. Although he hasn't topped 80 tackles in the last two seasons, the 30-year-old racked up 94 in 2014 and got off to a good start in that department Thursday.
