Coach Mike McCarthy noted it's "to be determined" whether Cooper takes part in practice Tuesday, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports. "My gut would be if he doesn't practice tomorrow, I don't see him going to the game," McCarthy said.

This refutes owner/GM Jerry Jones' earlier assertion that Cooper would get on the practice field Tuesday and was in line to play Thursday at New Orleans, as reported by Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. According to McCarthy, while Cooper was back at team facilities as of Monday, he's "still not feeling the best" and has a cough as he makes his way through the COVID-19 protocols. Cooper has missed two games due to a positive test for the virus and may be in danger of sitting out another. His status for Thursday should become clearer in the next day or so.
