Football Team's Daron Payne: Toe injury flares up

Payne (toe) is questionable for Sunday's game against New Orleans, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.

Payne was a late addition to the injury report, as coach Ron Rivera said the defensive tackle "had an issue with his toe flare up." Rivera added that Payne will get treatment on the injury Friday afternoon, and the team should have a better idea of his availability by Saturday morning. Washington has the interior defensive line depth to overcome a possible Payne absence, with Tim Settle and Matthew Ioannidis available in reserve roles behind Payne and Jonathan Allen.
