Steelers' Ahkello Witherspoon: To rejoin Steelers

Witherspoon is in line to re-sign with the Steelers on a two-year contract Thursday, Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reports.

Witherspoon was traded from Seattle to Pittsburgh in the early stages of the 2021 season, and down the stretch injuries forced him to handle an expanded role on defense. The Steelers appear satisfied with the capabilities Witherspoon demonstrated, and he now looks set to rejoin a familiar scheme for what will likely be a rotational role.
