Hager signed a one-year contract with the Rams on Monday. Hager spent the first four years of his career with the Rams, and it now looks as if that streak will extend at least one more season, assuming he makes the 53-man roster. He's increased his tackle total every campaign while mostly seeing the field as a special teams player, culminating in a career-high 14 tackles in 2018.
Hager (calf) is officially listed as questionable for the Rams' Week 12 matchup versus the Saints. Hager presumably sustained the injury in last week's loss to the Vikings. He saw his workload increase each day this week, so he looks to be trending in the right direction, but no formal decision is expected to be made until Sunday.
Hager (concussion) was limited in Thursday's practice. The second year linebacker projects to back up Alec Ogletree this season. His status for Monday's season opener against the 49ers will depend on if he can clear the NFL's concussion protocol. If he cannot play, Josh Forrest will likely slide into the backup role.
