The 49ers are slated to sign Elliott to a two-year, $10 million contract, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. A third-round pick in 2020 by the Browns, Elliott spent the 2022 and 2023 seasons as a starter for Cleveland. Across 17 games (14 starts) last year, Elliott recorded 21 tackles (14 solo) and 2.5 sacks on the team's talented defensive line. Browns' Jordan Elliott: Playing with starting unit
Elliott practiced as a member of the Browns' first-team defense during minicamp this past week, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports. The 2020 third-round pick played 16 games with three starts last season, notching 26 tackles over 439 defensive snaps, before he suffered a knee injury during the team's Week 18 win over the Bengals. The Browns selected Elliott in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, 88th overall. Elliott was the best interior lineman left on the board at this stage. His production is only middling with 6.0 career sacks in three seasons, but his athleticism is his selling point.
