The Titans signed Niemann on Monday, Jim Wyatt of the team's official site reports. Niemann will head to Tennessee after starting nine games for the Cardinals last year. The 27-year-old is coming off one of the most productive campaigns of his career, logging 70 tackles (38 solo), which was a new high for him. Heading into this season, Niemann may have the opportunity to compete with Monty Rice and fellow newcomer Azeez Al-Shaair for a regular role at inside linebacker.... See More ... See Less

Cardinals' Ben Niemann: Records 10 tackles Week 16
Niemann finished Sunday's Christmas Day loss to Tampa Bay with 10 tackles (six solo). Niemann played on only 49 percent of Arizona's defensive stops, but he still managed to record a season-high 10 tackles. The fifth-year pro needs six tackles over the Cardinals' final two contests to match his career-high mark of 39 set last season with the Chiefs.... See More ... See Less -
Cardinals' Ben Niemann: Inks deal with Chiefs
Niemann signed a contract with the Cardinals on Thursday, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports. Niemann tried out for Arizona during minicamp this past week as the team looks to add additional depth on defense and special teams. The 2018 undrafted free agent recorded 57 tackles, one pass defended and one interception over 17 games with five starts in Kansas City last season. Niemann also played at least 245 special-teams snaps during each of his first four seasons with the Chiefs and should serve as a solid depth linebacker alongside Nick Vigil and Tanner Vallejo.... Chiefs' Ben Niemann: Over hamstring injury
Niemann (hamstring) wasn't listed on Wednesday's injury report. Niemann injured his hamstring in practice in early August, but he has subsequently recovered over the past month. The linebacker is expected to suit up without limitations for Sunday's season opener against the Browns.... See More ... See Less -
Chiefs' Ben Niemann: Will sit out Sunday
Niemann (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers, Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star reports. Niemann suffered a hamstring injury during last week's win over the Falcons. It would've been tough to return in Week 17 under normal circumstances, and there's no reason to rush him back with the top spot in the AFC locked up. Darius Harris likely will bump into a starting role in the season finale.... See More ... See Less -
Chiefs' Ben Niemann: Records first career sack
Niemann tallied two tackles (both solo), including his first career sack Monday versus the Ravens. Niemann continues to rotate in among a deep group of linebackers for the Chiefs, playing 43 percent of the snaps in Monday's contest. While it produced his first career sack, Niemann also saw a downturn in defensive snap percentage and just two tackles after racking up nine a week ago. He doesn't see the field enough at the moment to warrant IDP consideration in most formats.... See More ... See Less -
Chiefs' Ben Niemann: Doubtful to play
Niemann (hamstring) is doubtful to play in Sunday's game against the 49ers, Brooke Pryor of The Kansas City Star reports. Niemann appeared in line to play this weekend after logging a full practice Thursday. However, the linebacker may have suffered a setback, as Niemann was subsequently a limited practice participant on Friday. Unless his health takes a quick turnaround before gametime, Kansas City may have to look elsewhere for help on special teams.... See More ... See Less -
Chiefs' Ben Niemann: Nursing hamstring injury
Niemann (hamstring) did not participate in Wednesday's practice. Neimann suffered a hamstring injury during the Chiefs' season opener and still appears to be working toward recovery. The depth linebacker won't suit up for Sunday's game against the Steelers unless he's able to get healthy and fully practice at some point this week.... See More ... See Less
