The 2023 MLB season continues on Sunday and daily Fantasy baseball players are trying to take full advantage of a red-hot Shohei Ohtani. The Angels DH/P has five home runs and 10 RBI over the last week and leads the American League with 23 home runs and 56 RBI so far this season. He's also 6-2 on the mound with a 3.29 ERA and 105 strikeouts over 82 innings, but it will be Tyler Anderson who takes the ball for the Angels on Sunday against the Royals and Zack Greinke.

How much exposure should you have to Ohtani as a hitter in your MLB DFS lineups? It's another loaded MLB DFS player pool and winning big in MLB DFS tournaments, cash games and 50-50s will require some critical MLB DFS strategy decisions. Before submitting any MLB DFS picks for Sunday, be sure to check out the MLB DFS advice, strategy and projections from SportsLine daily Fantasy expert Mike McClure.

McClure is a daily Fantasy pro who has won more than $2 million in his career. And when it comes to daily Fantasy baseball, McClure is at his best. Recognized in the book "Fantasy Football (and Baseball) for Smart People: How to Turn Your Hobby into a Fortune" as a top MLB DFS player, McClure's proprietary projection model simulates each game 10,000 times, taking factors such as matchups and recent results into account. This allows him to find the best values on every site.

On Saturday, McClure highlighted Braves starting pitcher Bryce Elder as one of his top DFS pitchers of the day. The result: Elder threw six innings of one-run ball with four strikeouts in a win over the Rockies, returning 21.1 points on DraftKings and 37 points on FanDuel. Anybody who included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, with the 2023 MLB season in full swing, McClure has locked in his top MLB daily Fantasy picks for Sunday, June 18. Head to SportsLine now to see them

McClure's top MLB DFS picks for Sunday

One of McClure's top MLB DFS picks for Sunday is Nationals third baseman Jeimer Candelario ($3,600 on DraftKings and $2,900 on FanDuel). A former top-100 prospect for the Cubs and Tigers, Candelario spent six seasons in Detroit before joining the Nationals this offseason on a one-year, $5 million contract.

Candelario has played well for the rebuilding Nationals, slashing .256/.336/.452 with eight home runs and 30 RBI. He enters Sunday's matchup with the Marlins having gone 6-for-12 with four doubles and a stolen base over his last three games.

McClure's MLB DFS strategy also includes rostering Marlins outfielder Jorge Soler ($4,900 on DraftKings and $3,500 on FanDuel). Soler led the American League with 48 home runs in 2019 and he's turning in another stellar year in 2023.

The 31-year-old is slashing .260/.365/.558 with 20 home runs and 41 RBI in 67 games and his current .923 OPS is a career high. Over his last seven games, Soler is 10-for-20 with three home runs and five RBI, while also drawing 11 walks. Lock him in your MLB DFS lineups and look for a big return on Sunday. See who else to pick right here.
