NBA DFS: James Harden and top FanDuel, DraftKings daily Fantasy basketball picks for Feb. 2, 2020
Mike McClure, a DFS pro with almost $2 million in career earnings, gives optimal lineup advice
Sunday's main slate brings some tough questions for NBA DFS players as they set their lineups. Should you go with a more proven option like Bulls guard Zach LaVine, who has a tough matchup against the Raptors, or roll the dice on a cheaper, high-upside option like JJ Redick, who's averaging 15.6 points per game this season? Is a player dealing with an injury such as Suns guard Ricky Rubio (ankle) safe to rely on?
With FanDuel hosting a $254K Sunday NBA LIV Shot and DraftKings running a $300K Game Day Special that awards $100K to the winner, there are some difficult decisions for NBA DFS players to make. Before locking in your NBA DFS picks for any tournaments, cash games, or 50-50s on sites like FanDuel and DraftKings, be sure to see what Mike McClure has to say. He's won almost $2 million in his career as a DFS pro, and his top daily Fantasy basketball picks can give you a huge edge for Sunday's slate.

McClure's top NBA DFS picks for Sunday
For Sunday, we can tell you McClure is high on Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden ($11,000 on FanDuel, $11,200 on DraftKings). Harden went for 35 points (10-25 FG, 6-14 threes, 9-10 FT), a season-high 16 rebounds, six assists and four steals Friday against the Mavericks.
Harden leads the NBA in scoring with 35.6 points per game, while also averaging 6.4 rebounds and 7.2 assists per outing. Harden and Houston will look to keep the positive momentum rolling Sunday against the Pelicans, who are giving up 117.1 points per game this season, the third-worst mark in the NBA. In his last meeting against New Orleans, Harden finished with 39 points, nine assists, four rebounds and two steals. Lock him in as one of the top overall NBA DFS plays on Sunday and look for a big return against the Pelicans.
Part of McClure's optimal NBA DFS strategy on Sunday also includes rostering Toronto Raptors center Serge Ibaka ($5,800 on FanDuel, $6,200 on DraftKings). Ibaka went for 21 points, while adding six rebounds and three assists in Friday's matchup against the Pistons. Ibaka produced 26 points Thursday against Cleveland, and had a 24-point, 10-rebound effort Tuesday against Atlanta.
Marc Gasol (hamstring) is set to miss his third consecutive game on Sunday, which means Ibaka should continue to see extended minutes in Toronto's lineup. Over his last three outings, Ibaka is averaging 23.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. With Ibaka and the Raptors facing the Bulls on Sunday, a team ranked second-to-last in the NBA defending his position, he has another great chance to return strong value for NBA DFS players.
How to set your NBA DFS lineups on Sunday
McClure is also targeting another player who has a dream matchup on Sunday. The stars are aligning for him to return 50, even 60 points on DraftKings and FanDuel. This pick could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing.
