This offseason has been wild when it comes to wide receiver movement. Davante Adams was traded from the Green Bay Packers to the Las Vegas Raiders, and Kansas City Chiefs star Tyreek Hill was dealt to the Miami Dolphins. Both moves had to do with money, and there are other star wide receivers looking for new deals who could be on the move next.

This week, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel removed his 49ers profile picture on Instagram, unfollowed the team and deleted over 80 posts from his account, as Ari Meirov of PFF pointed out. Could this mean something, or nothing?

Samuel is entering the final year of his rookie deal, along with other star receivers like DK Metcalf, Terry McLaurin and A.J. Brown. Rumors have circulated around these players as of late, as ESPN reported last week that the New York Jets were "keeping an eye" on Metcalf, Brown and Samuel for a potential trade after striking out on Hill.

Samuel is coming off of a career year, in which he caught 77 passes for 1,405 yards and six touchdowns. He was also used as a running back in Kyle Shanahan's system, rushing 59 times for 365 yards and eight more touchdowns.

If you recall, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray also did one of these social media scrubs earlier this offseason. Some hypothesized there was trouble in Arizona -- and they were somewhat right. Murray wants a new deal and has been aggressive in pursuing it. His agent, Erik Burkhardt, even sent out a lengthy statement calling on the Cardinals to re-sign their quarterback if they are serious about winning a Super Bowl.

There may be something to Samuel's activity on social media, and there may not be. The star wideout surely wants a new deal, but with all of the movement we have seen this offseason, it's best to be on your toes.
