Beede (elbow) threw a live batting practice session Monday, Amy Gutierrez of the Giants' official site reports.
Beede is working his way back from Tommy John surgery, a procedure he underwent back in March of last year. He appears to be progressing well in his recovery, but his placement on the 60-day injured list means he'll be ineligible to return until the last few days of May.
