Johnson signed a one-year contract with San Francisco on Thursday.
Johnson appeared in 16 games for the 49ers last year and logged 30 tackles (20 solo), two pass defenses, a forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. He should compete for playing time at cornerback once again prior to the 2022 campaign.
