Johnson (knee) had a tryout with the Colts on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Johnson was moved to the 49ers' practice squad injured reserve in December after he sustained a season-ending torn ACL. He looks to have recovered from the injury and is working on sticking on to a practice squad roster, starting with the Colts on Monday.
