Brissett completed 20 of 30 passes for 199 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Colts' 27-17 win over the Dolphins on Sunday. He also rushed three times for eight yards and committed two fumbles, losing one and recovering the other.

Brissett was able to connect on touchdowns with Mike Gesicki and DeVante Parker from one and three yards out, respectively, in the fourth quarter, but it was a bit too late to make a difference for the otherwise listless Dolphins. The veteran quarterback's first two scoring tosses of the season also were partly offset by his fumble deep in his own territory on the first play of the fourth quarter, a play that helped lead to a Colts field goal and extend Indianapolis' lead to 20-3. Tua Tagovailoa reportedly will be ready to return from his rib injury when first eligible to come off injured reserve ahead of a Week 6 battle against the Jaguars in London, so an unenviable Week 5 road matchup against the Buccaneers tentatively projects as Brissett's final start for the foreseeable future.
