Blount could be a good fit with the Giants as a complement to Paul Perkins and Shane Vereen (triceps), SNY.TV reports.

Coming off a 2016 campaign in which he ran for 1,161 yards and 18 touchdowns -- albeit on 3.9 yards per carry -- Blount remains unsigned through the first 10 days of free agency. His production largely is viewed as a product of the Patriots offense, which provided Blount with a plethora of goal-line carries and clock-killing work. While a return to New England isn't out of the question, the Patriots did recently sign Rex Burkhead to a one-year, $3 million contract to join a backfield that also includes James White and Dion Lewis (hamstring). There may still be room for Blount in that picture, as Burkhead, Lewis and White are all smaller backs with pass-catching skills. Other teams that could be in the market for a power runner include the Giants, Packers, Buccaneers and Raiders.
