Travis will sit for at least a year behind Aaron Rodgers and Tyrod Taylor in New York. Travis averaged 8.5 yards per attempt as a passer in college and rushed for seven touchdowns in each of his final four seasons at Florida State. Both Rodgers and Taylor have injury concerns and there could be some intrigue for Travis if he were to get a shot to play with Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall. For now, Travis should only be rostered in Dynasty Superflex leagues, and he's no better than a Round 4 rookie pick in that format. He has slightly more appeal in Dynasty leagues that have taxi squad spots available because we do not expect Travis to get a chance in 2024.

  • Jets' Jordan Travis: Should be ready for training camp

Travis, who is bouncing back from an ankle injury that he suffered last November, should be cleared for training camp, per coach Robert Saleh, Rich Cimini of ESPN reports. At this stage, Travis -- who the Jets took in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft -- continues to rebound from ankle surgery, with Cimini noting that the young QB was spotted riding a stationary bike during part of the practice that took place Friday at the start of the team's rookie minicamp. Early on in his pro career, Travis is slated to work behind the veteran duo of Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) and Tyrod Taylor, but when healthy, the Florida State product profiles as dual-threat signal-caller with intriguing playmaking ability for the Jets to develop.

  • Jets' Jordan Travis: Lands with Jets

The Jets selected Travis (leg) in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 171st overall. If not for a severe leg injury suffered late in his senior year, Travis may have heard his name called much earlier than the end of the fifth. He was a dynamic, longtime starter at Florida State who progressed each season. He never threw more than six interceptions in any season and left Tallahassee with 65 passing touchdowns in 42 games. He had strong rushing ability that will perhaps return when he's recovered, rushing for 1,682 yards and 28 touchdowns. Tyrod Taylor gives the Jets immediate cover if Aaron Rodgers is to miss any time, but Travis projects as an eventual backup with little likelihood to become a starter.
