CBSSPORTS.COM EXPANDS RAPIDREPORTS NETWORK; 40 CORRESPONDENTS ADDED TO COVER THE LARGEST COLLEGE FOOTBALL PROGRAMS

Correspondents embedded with 40 of the largest college football programs will file multiple RapidReports per day,
providing the latest breaking news and updates

July 25, 2011: CBSSports.com today announced an expansion to RapidReports, their innovative sports coverage platform. RapidReports, which began in 2009 with a network of 32 correspondents reporting on each NFL team, has now expanded to cover 40 of the largest college football programs. (See full list below) Available starting today, these reporters will file multiple bite-sized updates per day from each school's practice facility, stadium, or other media availability that will appear across CBSSports.com (www.cbssports.com), CBS Sports Mobile, and multiple other CBS platforms.

RapidReports, which posted 55,000 NFL updates in 2009 and 82,000 in 2010, will feed engaged college football fans a constant stream of short, original updates, providing the latest news and information from each college football program. The network of college football RapidReports correspondents will combine with CBSSports.com writers Dennis Dodd, Tony Barnhart, and Brett McMurphy along with the Eye on College Football blog to provide the most complete and timely coverage of major college football available.

"After RapidReports transformed the way NFL teams are followed, it was a natural evolution to apply this unique mode of coverage to the passionate world college football fans live in," said Jason Kint, Senior Vice President and General Manager of CBSSports.com. "In combination with the extremely talented writers we've added over the past year, I'm confident CBSSports.com enters this season with the deepest and most experienced roster of writers covering college football."
