Werth is out of Tuesday's lineup against the Marlins, Jorge Castillo of The Washington Post reports.

A day after coming off the disabled list having recovered from a toe injury, Werth is back on the pine as the Nationals deploy a Adam Lind in left field, Alejandro De Aza in center field and Wilmer Difo in right. Manager Dusty Baker said that Werth is still fighting soreness after getting hit by a pitch during his recent rehab assignment, according to Castillo, but he'll still be available off the bench Tuesday. Werth may be given the occasional day off over the season's final month in an effort to make sure he's fresh for October.
