Pirates' Chris Stratton: Avoids arbitration with Pirates

Stratton agreed to a one-year contract with the Pirates on Friday, avoiding arbitration.

Stratton logged a 3.90 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 39:13 K:BB in 30 innings (27 appearances) out of the bullpen last year. He wouldn't be in the late-inning mix on most teams, but the Pirates lack stability near the back of the bullpen, so Stratton could be a source of holds and the occassional save this year.
