Beckham (ankle) said Wednesday was a good day for him and indicated that he's been able to do some running and cutting, Michael Eisen of the Giants' official site reports.

A non-participant at Wednesday's practice, Beckham at least managed to do some stretching and work on the side without aggravating his ankle. He's doing everything in his power to speed up the rehab process, but he also made it clear that he won't play in Sunday's game against the Cowboys if his ankle doesn't feel right -- which is a sensible approach for Week 1. A questionable designation remains the likely outcome, putting many fantasy owners in a tough spot with the Giants playing in the Sunday Night Football game, though it helps that there are two Monday games (Saints-Vikings, Chargers-Broncos) to choose alternatives from.
