Spillane signed his one-year, $2.43 million tender with the Steelers on Friday, Joe Rutter of TribLIVE reports.
Spillane appeared in 14 games (four starts) last season and totaled 56 tackles (29 solo), including two for loss. The fifth-year linebacker figures to provide depth behind Devin Bush and Myles Jack again in 2022, but his role may increase slightly with the departure of Joe Schobert.
