While it was a clean tear, Fort's season will still likely be over after he undergoes surgery. The nine-year veteran notched a career-high 54 tackles in 14 games with the Ravens last year. In his absence, Malik Harrison and Chris Board will compete for the backup linebacker spot behind Patrick Queen.

• Ravens' L.J. Fort: Makes two sacks in 2019

Fort will head to his fourth NFL team for his age-29 season after spending the last three seasons in Pittsburgh, and is coming off the best season of his five-year career. He racked up 48 combined tackles (38 solo) in 2018, in addition to a sack and one defensive touchdown. Fort is also an experienced special teamer, logging a career-high 333 snaps on special teams in 2018. Look for him to play a versatile role in Philadelphia.

• Steelers' L.J. Fort: Team-leading eight tackles in win

  Fort recorded eight tackles (four solo) during Sunday's 16-13 win over Cincinnati. The unrestricted free agent finishes the 2018 season with 48 tackles -- including one sack -- and one fumble recovery in 15 games. The 48 tackles exceeded his career total of 35 tackles over three seasons. He made $1.3 million over the past two seasons with Pittsburgh and could be a bargain if he returns to back up Vince Williams and Jon Bostic at inside linebacker in 2019.

  Fort totaled six tackles (all solo) including a sack and recovered a fumble for a touchdown during Sunday's 41-17 win over the Falcons. With Vince Williams (hamstring) inactive, the seldom-used Fort took advantage of an increase in playing time and recorded his most tackles in a game since October 2012. The sack was his first of the season, and his recovery of Matt Ryan's fumble in the end zone was his first career touchdown. If Williams can't go in Week 6, Fort will get another opportunity when they visit the Bengals, whom they have beaten the last five meetings.
