We've got a 10-game slate on Monday, a rare treat to open up a week that will feature two other days with at least 10 games. We'll be overstuffed on NBA DFS this week, and we want to get off to a good start tonight to take advantage of the big slates coming on Wednesday and Friday.

Weirdly, though there are 10 games on the schedule, I'm having trouble finding a ton of variety tonight. Especially at point guard and shooting guard, where I mostly just want to play Will Barton, Jameer Nelson, James Harden and Damian Lillard. Partially because I love their matchups, but also because I'm not sure I love the other values at the position.

What I might do tonight is go heavy on the aforementioned combination of point guards and shooting guards, especially in cash games, and then try a lot of different combinations at the other three positions. If those four players hit, I should be in very good position to open the week.

Today's Slate

Houston at Denver
Fantasy points allowed: 420.2

This should be a fast-paced, high scoring game, which should boost Fantasy values across the board. The Nuggets' backcourt in particular has a ton of room for value.

Philadelphia at Chicago
Fantasy points allowed: 409.39

The Bulls have a number of risky plays, but Nikola Mirotic, Pau Gasol and even Derrick Rose could be high-upside plays at their prices, against this matchup.

New Orleans at Portland
Fantasy points allowed: 406.53

The Pelicans have been one of the worst teams in the league against point guards and centers, and the Blazers have been the worst against centers, so target those positions in what should be a pretty fast game.

Orlando at Brooklyn
Fantasy points allowed: 406.05

The Magic allow the seventh-fewest Fantasy points per game in the league over the last three weeks, a timetable that coincides precisely with Orlando's decision to move Victor Oladipo to the bench. Whether that is a coincidence or causation remains to be seen, but Orlando isn't exactly the type of team you just pick on now.

L.A. Clippers at Detroit
Fantasy points allowed: 403.72

With arguably the two best rebounders in the league going head to head, both DeAndre Jordan and Andre Drummond probably have lower ceilings than most nights -- rebounding is a zero-sum game.

Washington at Memphis
Fantasy points allowed: 397.69

The Grizzlies changed up their starting lineup Sunday, moving Tony Allen and Zach Randolph to the bench, and Jeff Green responded with a big game. You're chasing points with him, but the matchup could be one that makes it worthwhile.

Phoenix at Dallas
Fantasy points allowed: 396.51

Raymond Felton might emerge as a decent value later on, if Deron Williams' illness keeps him on the sidelines.

Miami at Atlanta
Fantasy points allowed: 386.13

Hassan Whiteside is a big time boom-or-bust play tonight, against one of the worst rebounding teams in the league. He went off for 23 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks in their last matchup, but his minutes have been inconsistent lately, and the Heat have shown much more willingness to pull away from him against shooting big men.

Toronto at Indiana
Fantasy points allowed: 381.5

The Pacers allow the fourth-fewest Fantasy points per game to opposing shooting guards, and the Raptors allow the eighth-fewest to small forwards. Are Kyle Lowry and Paul George, respectively, matchup proof?

Utah at San Antonio
Fantasy points allowed: 359.33

As has been the case for the last handful of games, the Jazz's lofty ranking doesn't really apply here in the wake of Rudy Gobert's injury. I would play Kawhi Leonard against this matchup, but probably won't touch anyone on the Jazz.
