There's plenty of NFL news to consider in Week 2. Wide receiver Antonio Brown will make his debut for the New England Patriots (-18.5), but how much of an impact will he have? The Ravens (-13) hammered the Dolphins a week ago, but now face an upstart Cardinals club. Should Lamar Jackson and company be among your top NFL picks on Sunday? Can the Falcons rebound from a disappointing 28-12 loss by taking down the visiting Eagles on Sunday Night Football? And should backing Matt Ryan and company be among your top Week 2 NFL best bets? Picking NFL games has been extremely profitable if you've listened to CBS Sports NFL editor R.J. White. In fact, if you placed $100 on each of White's NFL picks over the last two-plus seasons, you'd be up over $3,000. Smart bettors tail his selections.

White has been SportsLine's top pro football analyst, and over that span, the CBS Sports NFL editor and nationally-recognized NFL Draft expert has gone 201-154 on NFL against the spread picks. The stats guru, whose picks are coveted by fans everywhere, has also cashed huge in the world's most prestigious handicapping tournament, the Westgate Las Vegas SuperContest, twice in the past four years. Now, he's back and ready to crush his SuperContest selections again in 2019.

Last week, using the Las Vegas SuperContest lines, White went 4-1 on NFL against the spread picks, easily cashing with the Titans (+5.5), Texans (+7), Colts (+6.5) and Patriots (-5.5). Anyone who followed him was way up.

For Week 2, we can tell you White is backing the Dallas Cowboys (-5) on the road against the Redskins

"Yes, this is a lot of points to lay with a road team," White told SportsLine. "But Washington consistently has one of the worst home-field advantages in the league, and that was the case last year, when the offense and defense both played better on the road. I'm fully buying into the Cowboys' offense under Kellen Moore and expect a strong showing by the Dallas defense against a banged-up Washington team. I also think this line is too low; the Cowboys roll."

And a massive shocker: White is picking the Broncos (+2.5) to cover at home against the Chicago Bears.

"The Broncos dominate opponents at home early in the season, going 48-6 straight up at home in Weeks 1 and 2 all-time, including 22-1 since 2000," White told SportsLine. "They also have a strong cover rate, going 30-15-4 against the spread since 1978. The Broncos' defense will be at the top of their game looking to get a win for their coach against his former team, and I don't have any confidence Mitchell Trubisky will do anything on the road in a tough matchup. The Broncos do enough on the ground to win it."

White also is calling for a home favorite to get absolutely shocked this week. And who it is will surprise you. Anyone who backs this underdog could hit it big.
