  • Buccaneers' Antonio Brown: Ruled out again

Brown (ankle) will not play in Sunday's game against the Colts, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.

Coach Bruce Arians revealed Friday that Brown will be the Bucs' only player with an 'out' designation on the final injury report, though there's also been some level of concern about four of the team's top players (WR Mike Evans, LG Ali Marpet, LB Devin White, DT Vita Vea). For Brown, this will be a fifth straight absence, with either Tyler Johnson or Scotty Miller (activated from IR on Tuesday) likely to fill in as the No. 3 receiver. Johnson handled the role the past four weeks with both Brown and Miller out, averaging 2.8 catches for 26.5 yards on 4.0 targets,

  • Buccaneers' Antonio Brown: Missing for another practice

Brown (ankle) isn't present for the open portion of Thursday's practice and is expected to be listed as a non-participant on Tampa Bay's official report, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Brown's ongoing absence from practice isn't a surprise, especially after head coach Bruce Arians told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network on Wednesday that the Buccaneers are targeting their Week 13 game in Atlanta for the seven-time Pro Bowler's return to the lineup. While that won't preclude Brown from potentially getting back on the practice field in some capacity Friday, Tampa Bay will more than likely rule him out for Sunday's game in Indianapolis before the weekend arrives. Meanwhile, fellow wideout Mike Evans (back) missed his second straight practice Thursday, but he appears to have a more realistic chance than Brown of playing against the Colts.

  • Buccaneers' Antonio Brown: Looks set for Week 12 absence

Head coach Bruce Arians said Wednesday that he's eyeing the Buccaneers' Week 13 game against the Falcons for Brown's (ankle) potential return to the lineup, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. "[Brown is] moving around a lot better," Arians said. "He's able to put more weight on the heel [of his injured ankle] and bounce around on it some. We've got our fingers crossed."

Arians didn't definitively rule Brown out for the Buccaneers' upcoming game Sunday in Indianapolis, but the coach made it apparent that the wideout is trending toward a fifth straight absence after he was listed as a non-participant Wednesday on the team's initial Week 12 practice report. Barring a dramatic step forward in his on-field work the next two days, Brown will likely be officially ruled out for Sunday's contest on Friday, but on a more fortunate note, the seven-time Pro Bowler looks on pace to return for the stretch run of the regular season. Tyler Johnson has served as Tampa Bay's primary No. 3 receiver while Brown has been sidelined, but he may face more competition for reps this weekend after Scotty Miller (toe) was reinstated from injured reserve Tuesday.

  • Buccaneers' Antonio Brown: Not at practice

Brown (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.

The Buccaneers merely held a walk-through session two days after their Monday night win over the Giants, but Brown will be listed as a non-participant on the first official Week 12 injury report. He'll have two more chances to return to practice before Sunday's game against the Colts, or else it'll be a fifth consecutive absence. Tyler Johnson has filled in as the No. 3 receiver in each of the last four games and has played between 64 and 73 percent of the offensive snaps, but he's caught only 11 passes for 106 yards on 16 targets. That production lags far behind Brown, who topped 106 yards in two of his five appearances prior to sitting out with the injury.

  • Buccaneers' Antonio Brown: Unsurprisingly ruled out

Brown (ankle) has been ruled out ahead of Monday's contest against the Buccaneers, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.

Coach Bruce Arians confirmed the veteran wide receiver would miss his fourth straight game after injuring his ankle all the way back in mid October. Arians hinted a "number" of players would be listed as game-time decisions entering Monday's contest, which could be in reference to Chris Godwin (foot) and also possibly Scotty Miller (toe), who could be in line to get activated off injured reserve. Regardless, expect a heavy dose of Mike Evans in a game which figures to high scoring.
