With their 3-0 win against the Edmonton Oilers, the Vancouver Canucks finished with the best record in the NHL for the second consecutive season, winning the Presidents' trophy for the second time in franchise history.

Along with that, they're also the sixth team to win the award in consecutive seasons, and in case you're curious, three of the previous five teams went on to win the Stanley Cup in the second year (the '86-87 Oilers, the '88-89 Flames, and the '98-99 Stars).

The Canucks will open the Western Conference playoffs against the eighth seeded Los Angeles Kings following their overtime loss to San Jose, which included three straight unanswered goals by the Sharks to erase a two-goal third period deficit.

And with that, the NHL playoff picture is complete.
