The NBA announced on Monday afternoon the rescheduling of the 11 games that were postponed in December due to the spike in COVID-19 cases across the league. The recent increase in COVID-19 cases has caused many teams to be short a handful of players on a night-to-night basis, resulting in games being postponed.
As a response, the NBA and the National Basketball Players Association adopted new changes to the league's health and safety protocols to ensure as few games would be postponed as possible. Some of those new changes are reduced quarantine time for asymptomatic players who are no longer deemed contagious and mandating that teams must use hardship exceptions to add replacement players on 10-day contracts so that games can continue to be played.

Though there's still a chance more games could be postponed this season. Right now, the league will try to do everything possible to keep its schedule somewhat on track with the NBA Finals expected to start on June 2.
