The march to the Fantasy playoffs has already begun and in many leagues, the trade deadline hits soon after Thanksgiving turkey is served. There are still moves to be made, particularly when it comes to landing players who have a great schedule for the rest of the season.
Whether you're aiming for a bench player to provide depth or a stud or even a DST, knowing the matchups is crucial. This isn't like ranking defenses in the dead of the offseason -- at this point we know which defenses are legit and which ones are a pushover. Getting starting options with favorable matchups is the next-best thing to having stud players who you'll never pull out of your active roster.
Players
Players with favorable schedules:
Matt Jones: The toughest factor left for Jones isn't a matchup. It's his defense giving up too many points and forcing the Redskins to throw.
Blake Bortles, Allen Robinson, Allen Hurns, Julius Thomas: A combination of great matchups and a poor Jacksonville pass defense should hand over a bunch of pass attempts.
Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson: Outside of Week 14 the schedule sets up real nice for them.
Jonathan Stewart: The Panthers' lone remaining tough matchup is at home against the Bucs in Week 17.
Drew Brees, Brandin Cooks, Willie Snead, Benjamin Watson: Just like Jacksonville, the Saints should have to throw most weeks. Only one outdoor game left helps.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, Brandon Marshall, Eric Decker: It's a good enough slate for these guys to have a good finish.
Alex Smith, Jeremy Maclin, Travis Kelce: Looking purely at the matchups, Kansas City's passing game should be fine. Their toughest remaining game is at home this week against the Bills.
Week 16 dandies: Jaguars (at Saints), Raiders (vs. Chargers on Thursday), Lions (vs. 49ers), Chiefs (vs. Browns), Colts (at Dolphins)
Players with unfavorable schedules:
DeMarco Murray, Jordan Matthews: Week 16 should be a cookie (vs. Redskins) but otherwise the Eagles could be in for some tough sledding. Yes that includes this week at a hot Lions defense.
Devonta Freeman: The Falcons play the Panthers twice and the Vikings and Buccaneers once. It won't be easy for Freeman to find numbers from earlier this season. A matchup against the Saints is tucked into Week 17.
Chris Johnson: He's slowing down at the worst time and has matchups at St. Louis and vs. Minnesota in his future.
Thomas Rawls (and Marshawn Lynch): The youngster has been hot but the Seahawks' rushers really have one really favorable matchup left (vs. Cleveland in Week 15).
LeGarrette Blount: Coming off a game where James White had all the touchdowns, Blount has to deal with some underrated run defenses before the season ends. He'll need late-game scores in order to prove worthy.
Javorius Allen: He has a nice workload in front of him but after Week 12 (at Cleveland) he's got a gauntlet of difficult matchups in an offense led by ... gulp ... Matt Schaub.
Frank Gore: There isn't a sweet matchup left for Gore until Week 16 at Miami. And by then, who knows how much of the rushing workload he'll have.
Latavius Murray: He hasn't been as great as we all hoped and has some real tough games coming until Week 16.
Danny Woodhead: Trying to figure out his workload has been an exercise in futility and the upcoming run defenses left for the Chargers, who have only two home games left, are not easy to go up against.
DeAngelo Williams: The matchups aren't good -- but playing in a Pittsburgh offense that forces the safeties back will give him a chance for some nice yardage.
Week 16 warnings: Bengals (at Broncos), Seahawks (vs. Rams), Falcons (vs. Panthers), Rams (at Seahawks), Giants (at Vikings), Ravens (vs. Steelers)
DSTs
DSTs with favorable schedules: Bills, Cardinals, Chiefs, Patriots, Seahawks, Steelers
Week 16 DSTs to target: Buccaneers (vs. Bears), Chiefs (vs. Browns), Lions (vs. 49ers), Steelers (at Ravens), Texans (at Titans)
DSTs with unfavorable schedules: Cowboys, Eagles, Falcons, Packers, Rams
Week 16 DSTs to avoid: Bengals (at Broncos), Broncos (vs. Bengals), Cardinals (vs. Packers), Panthers (at Falcons)
What are the Trade Values? The chart is designed to help guide you in making fair trades in your standard-scoring or PPR leagues. The values assigned to the players below are a long-term measurement of their Fantasy value. By adding two players' values you could determine what one player you should be able to get in return. This list should also work as a "Rest of Season" rankings. Also, any player not on the chart should be considered valued at no more than three points.
This is the final Trade Values for the 2015 season.
