In the month of September, there have been five five-star recruits in the Class of 2022 make college commitments as the supply of stars has quickly dwindled. And with the recruiting period in full swing set to run through the first week of November, even more are on the verge of making decisions.

Where will they go? Which schools are poised to make leaps in the class rankings? And, finally, who is set to commit, and when?

Everything we know is below in our five-star tracker including predictions, upcoming dates and more intel. The tracker is listed from highest-ranked uncommitted five-star to lowest-ranked uncommitted five-star player in the 247Sports Composite.

  • 247Sports Composite rank: No. 7
  • Commitment date: Nov. 7
  • Outlook: UTSA, Texas, Tennessee and Kentucky are Wallace's four finalists, and he's made official visits to the final three in recent months. However, this is Kentucky's race to lose here. The Wildcats locked in on him earlier this summer and both UK coach John Calipari and assistant Jai Lucas recently made the trek to Texas to pay him a special visit.
  • Prediction: Kentucky
  • 247Sports Composite rank: No. 9
  • Commitment date: Sept. 29
  • Outlook: Four schools are in the final hunt to land Smith, the 6-foot-4 combo guard: Auburn, Arkansas Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Alabama. But the pull of the Razorbacks is strong, particularly for players in the state. I give Arkansas the edge here with just under a week until his decision. Eric Musselman and that staff were the first to offer him in the summer of 2019 and that relationship could pay off in a big way with what would be the program's second-highest ranked commitment of all time.
  • Prediction: Arkansas
  • 247Sports Composite rank: No. 10
  • Commitment date: TBD
  • Outlook: Traore began the summer just barely ranked inside the top-100 and finished it ranked inside the top-10 of the composite rankings after a strong showing with Southern Assault on the AAU circuit. The interest has matched his rise, with a dozen offers -- including from Gonzaga, Texas and UCLA -- rolling in since June. This appears to be a wide-open race with several visits still on deck and he's yet to set a commitment date.
  • Prediction: UCLA
  • 247Sports Composite rank: No. 11
  • Commitment date: TBD
  • Outlook: Miller was set to make his commitment on Sept. 27 but has postponed that decision indefinitely. The big-bodied combo forward is considering Alabama, the NBL, G League and Tennessee State, and while the G League appeared at one point to be in the driver's seat, Alabama and Nate Oats seem to have made a push into frontrunner status. Now it's a matter of whether they can hold off the contenders until his decision.
  • Prediction: Alabama
  • 247Sports Composite rank: No. 13
  • Commitment date: TBD
  • Outlook: There's seven in the mix to secure Walker's commitment -- Alabama, Houston, Auburn, LSU, Texas, Maryland and the G League -- but my money is on the first two mentioned there being the final two he decides between. He's paid visits on an official basis to both programs but no one right now has taken the obvious lead. Guessing game, but I'll give the Tide the edge … for now.
  • Prediction: Alabama
  • 247Sports Composite rank: No. 15
  • Commitment date: TBD
  • Outlook: A year ago at this time, Phillips was ranked No. 25 nationally so as his profile has risen, so has his options. That, in part, has made his recruitment a tricky one to pin down as he's maintained that he's still considering several schools. I'll give Tennessee the nod here for now with relatively low confidence. The Vols have been recruiting at a high level under Rick Barnes and could be primed to offer him a spot to start from day one at forward. He's taking an official visit this weekend to Tennessee.
  • Prediction: Tennessee
  • 247Sports Composite rank: No. 16
  • Commitment date: TBD
  • Outlook: Duke, Missouri, UCLA and Kansas comprise Mitchell's final four schools, but Duke is the perceived favorite with UCLA also playing catch-up. I'm just not sure the Bruins can get it done despite getting in with an offer earlier and earning a visit earlier than Duke. Jon Scheyer and the Blue Devils are recruiting as well as any staff in the country right now and his commitment would move Duke to No. 1 in the team rankings for the 2022 cycle.
  • Prediction: Duke
  • 247Sports Composite rank: No. 18
  • Commitment date: TBD
  • Outlook: Alabama, Arizona, Gonzaga, Kentucky and Florida State are the final five in contention for Bradley, but two -- Arizona and Alabama -- appear to be the ones to beat, with Arizona surging of late after a recent in-home visit with the five-star point guard. And I'm buying the Wildcats smoke. Tommy Lloyd stopped in to see him and his family the first day of the recruiting period, signaling that they've made him a top priority.
  • Prediction: Arizona
  • 247Sports Composite rank: No. 19
  • Commitment date: TBD
  • Outlook: With Dereck Lively II trending towards Duke last weekend ahead of his commitment, John Calipari and assistant coach Chin Coleman both paid a visit to see Adem Bona, signaling a pivot for the Wildcats staff after missing on Lively. Now it's UK and everyone else for the 6-foot-9 center -- though it's not a lock yet with UCLA, Kansas, Baylor, USC, Miami and Arizona State lurking.
  • Prediction: Kentucky
  • 247Sports Composite rank: No. 24
  • Commitment date: TBD
  • Outlook: A recent addition to the five-star collection, Whitmore appears to be a slight Villanova lean, though North Carolina and Illinois are also in the mix. All three programs have landed visits over the last month but the Wildcats look to be the team to beat.
  • Prediction: Villanova
  • 247Sports Composite rank: No. 25
  • Commitment date: TBD
  • Outlook: Anthony's father is Terry Black, a former Baylor basketball player, so I wouldn't at all be surprised to see him stay in the region. Arkansas recently got him in for an official visit and Texas, Oklahoma State and Iowa State have also scored visits in recent months. For now I'll give Oklahoma State the edge -- Mike Boynton and that staff have been in on him for over a year now -- but the familial connection to Baylor and his willingness to take visits suggests he's still trying to figure out his best fit.
  • Prediction: Oklahoma State
  • 247Sports Composite rank: No. 27
  • Commitment date: October (date TBD)
  • Outlook: Walsh is in the midst of a visit frenzy with Memphis on deck and Texas, Arizona State, Arkansas and TCU earning recent visits. My early feel on this is that it's a race between Arkansas and Texas but his visits could change things. If Chris Beard and his staff give the full-court press, I like the Longhorns' chances.
  • Prediction: Texas
  • 247Sports Composite rank: No. 28
  • Commitment date: TBD
  • Outlook: If Tennessee strikes gold with Julian Phillips, it could push Mitchell to Florida State or another of his finalists (or vice versa). So since I've got Phillips to Tennessee I'll go Florida State here for the Florida native from Montverde Academy. Leonard Hamilton and the Seminoles earned an official visit from him in July after an offer earlier this year and they've done well in the past recruiting from within the state, most recently plucking Scottie Barnes out of Montverde Academy and turning him into a lottery pick.
  • Prediction: Florida State
