One week left.

By this time next week, the regular season will be over for most of the 128 teams painstakingly ranked every week by CBS Sports. While the Big 12 and the Sun Belt finish the regular slate during conference championship week -- though the Big 12 has a de facto title game in Oklahoma-Oklahoma State -- organized activities will end across much of the college football landscape.

Consequently, hopes hinge on these final weeks of November, so if there's anything left in the tank you can expect to see it this week. That building urgency gave us memorable moments last week, including Florida's hobbled defense making goal-line stand to beat LSU 16-10 and win the SEC East in a game nearly called off because of a hurricane. That building urgency powered Michigan to a second-half rally while grinding out a 20-10 win over Indiana as snow fell in the Big House.

So let that sense of urgency soak in as we consume our final full week of the regular season.

Heading into that final week, the Pac-12 makes a splash with three teams in the top 10 of our rankings: Washington is up a spot to No. 5, joined by USC (No. 9) and Colorado (No. 10).

College football experts from CBS Sports -- and for the first time this year, partner 247Sports -- contribute ballots each week, which are averaged together for our rankings. You can see the top-25 below, and 26-128 on our rankings page.

Biggest movers

  • Houston (+10): The Cougars victory over Louisville launches them back into the top 25 of the 128 and puts Tom Herman back in the spotlight as the coaching carousel begins to spin.
  • Florida (+6): A goal line stand put the Gators back in the SEC title game for the second-straight season. With a 13-3 record in the SEC, Jim McElwain has proven to be an absolutely stellar hire for the Gators.
  • Oklahoma State (+6): Mike Gundy swears he's got a one-loss team on his hands, refusing to accept the result of the controversial loss to Central Michigan. The 128 voters are starting to believe him, boosting the Big 12 title contending Cowboys up six spots.
  • Louisville (-8): Losing a late non-conference game on the road means little for the ACC race, but Louisville lost out on both the Atlantic (when Clemson beat Wake Forest) and the College Football Playoff by losing to Houston on Thursday night.
  • Utah (-8): Bad, bad loss to Oregon. That's two losses (Oregon, Cal) that came down to goal line plays we've come to expect the Utes to make.
  • West Virginia (-10): The Mountaineers fell 10 spots after losing to Oklahoma at home on Saturday night.
